Principals of Design: Unity
Directions:
Directions:
- Pick a Theme: Cats, Dogs, Boat Styles, Hats, Shoes, etc
- Draw 35 similar but different objects that overlap or interconnect in some way.
- Follow the rules of composition (no bullseye effect, cut off 3 edges, asymmetry), use the majority of the page.
- Draw first in Pencil then carefully go over in Pen.
Create a drawing of the same object repeated in an interesting and aesthetically pleasing way. Use overlap, contrast, variety of shapes and sizes. Emphasis of craftsmanship and detail to earn up to 100%. Look at images of what you are drawing for higher quality outcomes, greater detail and more realism.
As with all sketchbook assignments, make sure you use strong craftsmanship, full value range, and fill the space with your drawing or collage. Note: The eye example above, is a great start, but does NOT fill the page!
